A man and his Labrador were attacked by a group of ‘Bullies and Staffys’ in Cambuslang, leading to the man being rushed to the hospital. The incident occurred on Bogleshole Road around 5.05pm on Friday, September 19. Emergency services responded to the scene, where the 65-year-old man received medical treatment, and his dog was taken to a vet. Subsequently, a 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with the attack.
Reports from an eyewitness indicated that the dogs involved in the attack were ‘Bullies and Staffys’. The Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the details of the incident, stating that the dogs set upon the man and his dog. The arrested individual will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
In a separate incident, a 69-year-old woman in Florida was witnessed biting a pitbull after it attacked her and her 14-year-old dog. The woman, Shirley Pasamanick, tried to defend her pet during the aggressive encounter at Plaza Tropical Supermarket. Shirley used her cane to fend off the pitbull before resorting to biting the dog in a bid to stop the attack. She described being shaken for days following the incident.
