Lewis Hamilton expressed his frustration after a disappointing performance at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, labeling his time with Ferrari as a “nightmare.” Despite Ferrari’s historical success in Formula 1, their recent achievements have been lacking, with their last championship win dating back to 2008. Hamilton, now 40 years old, had hoped for better results joining Ferrari, especially after their close battle with McLaren in the previous season. However, his season with Ferrari has been challenging, with no podium finishes so far.
In Brazil, Hamilton’s struggles continued as he collided with Franco Colapinto’s Alpine on the first lap, leading to his retirement due to car damage. The race was similarly tough for Ferrari, as Charles Leclerc also failed to finish after a collision. As a result, Ferrari has slipped to fourth place in the constructors’ standings, trailing behind Mercedes and Red Bull.
Hamilton acknowledged the difficulties faced by the team, emphasizing the need to stay positive despite the setbacks. Looking ahead, Hamilton seems eager for a fresh start with new cars and engines in the upcoming season, even though his time with Ferrari has been challenging. While time may be running out for him to secure an eighth F1 title, Hamilton remains optimistic, believing that better days are ahead despite the current hardships.
