“Challenges and Potential: Lewis Hamilton’s Debut Season at Ferrari”

Published on

Formula One star Lewis Hamilton’s debut season with Ferrari has faced challenges, with his former rival describing the team as “chaotic.” Despite a tough start, Hamilton’s performance has not been as dire as it may seem. Throughout the year, the seven-time world champion has struggled, expressing frustration and failing to secure a podium finish.

During the recent Mexican Grand Prix, Hamilton encountered more difficulties, finishing eighth due to a penalty after an incident with rival Max Verstappen. Currently in sixth place in the drivers’ championship, Hamilton trails his teammate Charles Leclerc by 64 points. However, ex-F1 driver Esteban Gutierrez believes that considering the unique environment at Ferrari, Hamilton’s season hasn’t been as bad as perceived.

Gutierrez, who has experience with both Ferrari and Mercedes, highlighted the challenges at Ferrari, noting the passion and organized chaos within the team. He emphasized that winning with Ferrari is exceptionally demanding, making it a tough feat even for champions. Gutierrez expressed optimism for Hamilton’s future performance, suggesting that the English driver has been adapting and learning through this transitional period.

Looking ahead to regulatory changes in the upcoming season, Gutierrez believes Hamilton could benefit from the reset in 2026. Despite past disagreements, Gutierrez now sees potential in Hamilton’s growth and hopes he can leverage this year’s experiences for improvement in the future.
