Demi Lovato, aged 33, will not be reprising her role for Camp Rock 3. The singer rose to stardom after portraying Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel Original movie in 2008, sharing the screen with the Jonas Brothers, Alyson Stoner, and Meaghan Martin.

The storyline revolved around Mitchie, an aspiring singer/songwriter who could only afford to attend the summer camp if her mother worked as a chef there. Following the success of High School Musical, which launched Zac Efron to fame, Camp Rock showcased Demi battling camp rivalries and finding courage to perform the hit song “This Is Me” in a competition.

Despite a sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010, where Demi returned, she had to exit her sitcom “Sonny With A Chance” after one season due to personal struggles.

The upcoming Camp Rock installment will feature Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas reprising their roles as Connect 3 members, alongside Maria Canals-Barrera as Connie, Demi’s mother. Ayo Davis from Disney Branded Television expressed excitement about reintroducing the beloved franchise to a new audience.

Demi Lovato will not be part of the cast for Camp Rock 3 but will serve as an executive producer with the Jonas Brothers. Newcomers to the cast include Sherry Cola as Lark, Liamani Segura, Malachi Barto, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Brooklynn Pitts, Casey Trotter, and Ava Jean.

In a nostalgic throwback, Demi recently reunited with the Jonas Brothers on stage, singing their iconic song “Gotta Find You” during the band’s 20th anniversary tour in New Jersey.
