In an emotional interview with ITV Sport following his win, Van Veen expressed his overwhelming joy, stating, “Crazy. I never thought I would cry when winning my first TV title, but here I am, overwhelmed by this moment and the incredible crowd. Winning my first major title in Germany is truly phenomenal.”

In a tense semi-final match against Michael van Gerwen, Van Veen emerged victorious with an 11-10 win, albeit not without a minor injury to his throwing hand due to his technique.
Reflecting on his injury, Van Veen revealed, “I sustained a slight injury on my thumb during the match, causing some blood. Despite the discomfort, I managed to focus and get the job done.”
