Sky customers in the UK are in for more exciting streaming perks as HBO Max has officially launched in the country. The service is now available to select Sky Ultimate TV package holders at no extra charge, allowing viewers access to popular titles like Game of Thrones, Friends, Dune, Succession, and Young Sheldon without the usual £4.99 monthly fee, saving them over £50.

Sky confirmed that Sky Stream, Sky Glass customers with Ultimate TV, and Sky Q customers with the appropriate package will receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their Sky subscription. HBO Max offers a vast library of HBO dramas, including favorites like Succession and The Wire, alongside new Max Originals like The Pitt and a wide selection of Warner Bros. films.

For those interested in accessing HBO Max, the process is straightforward. Customers with Sky Ultimate TV on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, or Sky Signature/Sky Entertainment on Sky Q, can simply launch the HBO Max app from their homepage and follow the on-screen instructions to activate it for on-demand streaming.

If you are not on a Sky Ultimate TV plan, you can switch to it starting from £22 per month (increasing to £24 from April 1st). This package includes over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed excitement about the integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, offering a comprehensive entertainment experience. NOW Entertainment customers will also receive HBO Max at no additional cost integrated into the NOW app.

For those not subscribed to Sky, signing up for HBO Max directly on their website is an option, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99.
