Russian political analyst Sergei Karaganov, also known as Professor Doomsday, has advised Vladimir Putin that refraining from using nuclear weapons in Europe would be a grave mistake. Karaganov emphasized the necessity of bombing the UK to prevent a larger conflict between Russia and the US, stating that the deployment of tactical atomic weapons is the only way to achieve this goal.
Karaganov’s stance aligns with a growing faction of Putin loyalists and Kremlin figures who advocate for nuclear escalation in the Ukraine crisis and increased confrontation with NATO. This shift comes amid remarks from US President Donald Trump suggesting that Ukraine could potentially regain all territory seized by Russian forces.
Speaking on Russian state television, Karaganov reiterated Moscow’s propaganda, emphasizing the perceived threat from NATO allies along the nation’s western border. He argued that using nuclear weapons, albeit in extreme scenarios, is a lesser evil compared to risking a major war by not deploying them. Karaganov further emphasized the importance of breaking the will of European elites to pave the way for a resurgence of normal, healthy forces within Europe.
Television personality Vladimir Solovyov, a prominent advocate for nuclear attacks, provocatively called for the bombing of Oxford and Cambridge to dismantle the British elite and their institutions. Solovyov criticized the government and the Royal Family, suggesting that a mysterious ‘establishment’ truly holds power in Great Britain.
Solovyov’s controversial remarks underscore the escalating tensions and fervor surrounding nuclear rhetoric in the region, with influential figures like Karaganov and Solovyov openly discussing the potential use of nuclear weapons in political discourse.
