Sky Sports subscribers are in for an enhanced viewing experience as Sky has unveiled new features tailored for Formula 1 enthusiasts. The updates, set to launch soon, will introduce an interactive smart sidebar during race weekends. This sidebar will provide access to Race Control, a Recap feature for instant replays, and real-time in-race standings.
Moreover, the update will bring dedicated driver and team pages with onboard cameras, detailed race data, explanatory content, and improved navigation on the homepage. These additions aim to elevate the overall viewing experience for fans tuning in to the F1 season.
The new features will be accessible at no extra cost to Sky Sports subscribers using Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q devices. While an exact release date has not been confirmed, the upgrade is anticipated to become available later in the season.
In addition to the F1 enhancements, Sky has introduced an Ultimate TV subscription plan priced at £24 per month. This plan combines major streaming services such as Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and HBO Max, the latter launching in the UK next month. Sky emphasizes the value of the bundle, consolidating approximately £20 worth of streaming services into a single package.
Included in the £24 Ultimate TV plan are subscriptions to Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (starting March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (debuting on March 26), and Hayu (coming in July with select shows available from March). Customers will also gain access to over 130 Sky channels as part of the comprehensive offering.
