Lewis Hamilton has communicated with Ferrari leadership once again to emphasize his desire for changes in the team’s processes. The seven-time world champion has faced challenges since transferring from Mercedes to Ferrari last winter.

Hamilton, aged 40, has not secured a podium finish with Ferrari yet and currently holds the sixth position in the drivers’ standings before the upcoming United States Grand Prix, trailing teammate Charles Leclerc by 48 points.

During the Belgium Grand Prix in July, Hamilton revealed that he has been submitting a series of “documents” to Ferrari throughout the season in an effort to turn around his performance after a challenging first season.

Reports from August indicated that Hamilton’s correspondence pertains to suggested modifications to the car and the team’s operational practices, particularly focusing on enhancing communication between different departments during race weekends.

Recent information from the Italian publication Corriere della Sera states that Hamilton has sent another document to Ferrari’s ‘top management,’ emphasizing the necessity for overall team improvements.

It has been noted that Hamilton anticipated having a greater influence on decisions at Ferrari but has encountered unexpected hurdles and internal politics instead.

Hamilton’s circumstances at Ferrari have drawn comparisons to former world champion Sebastian Vettel, who also struggled to instigate change during his stint at Ferrari from 2015 to 2020.

In preparation for his new team, Hamilton sought advice from Vettel in January, engaging in discussions to exchange insights with the fellow world champion.

Following a pit lane delay during the qualifying session at the Singapore Grand Prix, Hamilton highlighted an area for improvement at Ferrari, pointing out the significant loss of tyre temperature experienced by him and Leclerc.

This issue led the Ferrari drivers to exert excessive pressure on the tyres during the outlap to regain temperature, resulting in suboptimal performance during their flying laps. Hamilton expressed concern about this recurring problem affecting their overall standings in races.
