Sky has unveiled adjustments to its TV channel lineup. Changes are set to take effect imminently, with one service returning and two platforms shutting down permanently.
Sky Showcase and Sky Max will halt broadcasting on Tuesday, February 24, leaving subscribers without their content. However, a beloved channel is making a comeback to fill the void left by these closures.
Tomorrow, Sky One will go live, offering viewers a range of engaging comedy and entertainment programs, including new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby. Additionally, familiar favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper, and Ted will be part of the lineup.
Sky One will also be the exclusive home of Saturday Night Live UK, expected to debut later this year.
Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed excitement about the channel’s relaunch, emphasizing a focus on providing customers easy access to their favorite programs. She highlighted that Sky One will offer a unique and vibrant viewing experience, featuring new Sky Originals, returning hits like Rob & Romesh Vs., and the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK.
Sky One will be accessible on channel 106 starting Tuesday, February 24. In addition to the channel launch, Sky is introducing a new plan called Ultimate TV, priced at £24 per month. This plan will grant customers access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app, along with over 130 premium channels like Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime.
Furthermore, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will enjoy a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into the TV guide, allowing for seamless viewing of Hollywood hits without needing to open the Disney+ app.
