Samsung has unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with the standout feature being the Privacy Display on the S26 Ultra. This innovative feature ensures that onlookers cannot view the screen content unless directly facing it, enhancing user privacy in public settings.
The Privacy Display, a first in the mobile industry, operates by making content disappear when not viewed head-on, preventing unauthorized viewing. Users can customize settings to block specific apps or notifications, enhancing the level of privacy protection.
Samsung highlighted the technological advancement of the Privacy Display, emphasizing how it controls pixel dispersion to maintain clear content visibility for the user while restricting visibility for others.
In addition to the Privacy Display, the S26 Ultra boasts a sleeker design, extended battery life, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform. The device also features fast charging capabilities, reaching 75% battery in just 30 minutes.
Camera capabilities have been enhanced with an upgraded quad rear camera for improved low-light photography and video stabilization. The Super Steady feature now includes a horizontal lock option for smoother video recording.
The S26 Ultra continues the tradition of including an S Pen for note-taking on its 6.9-inch AMOLED screen. Alongside the Ultra model, Samsung offers the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and the larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both equipped with triple-lens cameras and powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip.
All new Samsung smartphones receive a boost in smart features through the Galaxy AI upgrade, introducing features like Now Nudge for providing relevant suggestions to users without distractions. The device intelligently suggests photos from the Gallery when prompted by requests and checks for calendar conflicts when receiving meeting notifications.
Samsung has priced the new Galaxy S26 range in the UK as follows:
