“Home Bargains Surprises Customers with Early Christmas Countdown”

Published on

Home Bargains has announced a nationwide update that may not sit well with some customers, but the majority are eager to embrace the news. The popular discount retailer is renowned for offering a wide range of budget-friendly products suitable for various occasions.

Lately, there have been complaints about retail stores in general putting up seasonal decorations well ahead of the actual holidays. However, the latest communication from Home Bargains is likely to provide a fresh perspective for the public.

In a recent Instagram post, a spokesperson for Home Bargains stated, “At the risk of upsetting a few…” accompanied by a picture indicating that as of September 16, there are only 100 days left until Christmas.

While time waits for no one, opinions were divided upon realizing that there are less than 100 days remaining in 2025. One individual expressed excitement, saying, “I love Christmas – I’m thrilled. It’s the best time of the year!”

Another individual commented, “THIS is the type of content I need to see!” while a third remarked, “Absolutely here for it!”

Another person added, “If you were posting this in spring, then I would question it, but since it’s September, go ahead!” Additionally, someone else wrote, “Not soon enough!”

This announcement follows closely on the heels of another festive declaration from the discount store that should not come as a surprise to many of its loyal customers. Home Bargains confirmed that, in addition to closing on Christmas Day, all its stores would remain shut on both Boxing Day and New Year’s Day for the upcoming year.

This month, Home Bargains shoppers have been able to preview some new and returning items in preparation for December 25. Since September 1, decorations have been spotted adorning parts of the store aisles as summer transitions into autumn.

After Halloween, more items are expected to be introduced to stores for shoppers to enjoy. The festive range was unveiled in July, allowing customers to begin their Christmas shopping early and manage the costs associated with the holiday season.

Despite the enthusiasm, some products may be worth avoiding. Notably, a festive £1.29 cup that made a return from 2024 still features the same major mistake in 2025, as observed by our team.

Customers can explore a wide selection of Christmas items on the Home Bargains website. Certain products can be purchased online for delivery, while others are exclusively available for in-store purchase.
